2020 marked the last time singer and actress Ariana Grande released a full-length album. Grande’s Positions album dropped in October 2020 and since then, her only music releases included collaborations with The Weeknd on singles like Save Your Tears and Die For You. Ariana Grande took the news of her upcoming new song to her 380 million Instagram followers on January 7th. Many Arianators (Ariana Grande’s fandom name) and her friends expressed their excitement surrounding the music news.
Her best friend, rapper and singer Nicki Minaj commented, “Queen. We are ready. 🤍☁️🤍.” While fans commented, “WE MISSED YOU” and “MOTHER IS BACK.” Her mother and brother also commented supportive messages to the singer. Frankie Grande kept it simple with an emoji comment, “😝😝😝🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️.” While her mother, Joan Grande commented, “soooo excited …. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Ariana’s Instagram post caption was quick and simple: “yes, and? ♡ 1.12.” Followers were able to gather that “yes, and?” is the title of her single and it is set to release this Friday, January 12th. The song’s cover shows a blurred picture featuring a part of Ariana’s face while showing off a bold, red lipstick look.
Before the announcement, many were already speculating about her musical return. Ariana was seen wearing a sweater showing off the new song name, “yes, and?.” Her 2018 single, no tears left to cry was teased the same way — therefore, Arianators knew that something special was on its way.
New Album Details
Besides this new song, a new full-length Ariana Grande is definitely on the horizon. The singer has yet to reveal an exact date on when the album will be released. However, she revealed through an Instagram story on January 8th that the new song’s title will not be the album’s name. Ariana did confirm though in her words that, “p.s. i couldn’t wait any longer to tell you that although this is not the album title, it is indeed the album cover (well…….one of them!).” So, we already have a look into the upcoming album with the song’s cover art.

“yes, and?” will be released on January 12th worldwide. The song will be available for purchase and is expected to be released on platforms like Apple Music, Spotify, and iTunes.
