April has in fact been a very big month for the music industry. With Coachella ending last weekend, your favorite singers have been releasing some exciting jams that are playlist-worthy. Singers like Niall Horan, Bad Bunny, and The Weeknd, among others, have dominated the music charts this month with their new music releases. Read on to find out the music releases of April 2023. 

Niall Horan – “Meltdown”

With his upcoming second album set to release on June 9th, The Show, Niall Horan pleased his fans with another single following the success of his first-second album single, Heaven. Horan described his new single, Meltdown, to be a song that describes “moments where it feels like the whole world is against you” as he said in his Instagram post shared on April 28th. He later tells his followers also, “When I’ve felt like that myself, I know that all of you out there have felt that same way at some point too. I wanted to put this out there as a reminder that you’re never alone going through it.”

Grupo Frontera and Bad Bunny – “un x100to”

When reggaeton meets norteño – Grupo Frontera and Bad Bunny joined forces for this unexpected collaboration. We hear homages to both music genres throughout the single that celebrates Latin music as a whole. The music video is set on an isolated ranch in the desert.

The Weeknd and Future – “Double Fantasy”

The Weeknd and Future have collaborated for the release of the single, Double Fantasy. In the music video, The Weeknd stars as the leading man and actress Lily-Rose Depp as his leading lady. Double Fantasy happens to be the lead single of HBO Max’s upcoming series, The Idol, with The Weeknd being one of the creators of the show and will also star alongside Lily-Rose Depp.

Ellie Goulding – “Higher Than Heaven”

Higher Than Heaven was released early this month on April 7th. This is Ellie Goulding’s 5th studio album, with hit singles Let It Die and Easy Lover part of the tracklist. Goulding told Apple Music that this album had her feeling “relaxed” and she also explained, “It’s probably the most refreshing thing that I’ve done. It’s not a story this time. It’s more like a mood.”

Bebe Rexha – “Bebe”

Singer Bebe Rexha released her self-titled album, Bebe, on April 28th. In her tracklist, Rexha gives her fans two new collaboration singles with Snoop Dogg and Dolly Parton. Singles like the hit song, I’m Good (Blue) with David Guetta, make an appearance as well.

SZA and Doja Cat join forces for a remix of SZA’s hit single, Kill Bill. With this new remix, Doja Cat sings lyrics like, “I’m in a funk, so I bought a bouquet of roses / And cut ’em up at your doorstep, your new neighborhood is gorgeous/ I paid a lotta money for the fragrances you wore when we were dating.” This marks the second time the two singers have collaborated as they previously sang together on Kiss Me More

Post Malone – “Chemical”

As the lead single for his upcoming fifth studio album, Post Malone released Chemical on April 14, 2023. Malone sings his heart out with lyrics such as “You break me, then I break my rules / Last time was the last time, too.” Chemical carries out a pop-rock kind of vibe.
