Selenators, when you’re ready come and get your calendars ready for a new single from Selena Gomez herself. After spending time on her acting career — such as starting as Mabel Mora on Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building — she has teased a new upcoming single that will sure be the talk of the music industry. On August 17th, Gomez shared to her social media platforms surrounding the music news.
On Instagram, she captioned her new post, “Y’all have been asking for new music for a while. Since I’m not quite done with SG3, I wanted to put out a fun little song I wrote a while back that’s perfect for the end of summer. SINGLE SOON. August 25th. Presave it now. 😘”

Along with her caption, she posted the cover art of the “Single Soon” single. Gomez is seen wearing what seems to be a pink metallic sequined dress topped with a fluffy purple coat. Her outfit is also paired with accessories such as pearl necklaces and shiny bracelets. Besides being teased with the cover art, in this carousel post, Gomez shared snaps of what looks like snippets of a potential music video.
It has been three years since Gomez released a new album. Her last solo musical album was Rare, which debuted back in 2020. Although, she technically has not definitely left the music scene. She has collaborated on different music singles from Rema’s “Calm Down” to BLACKPINK’s “Ice Cream.”
With this single being anticipated as an “end of summer” bop, Selenators have not been able to contain their excitement for the musical return of their idol. One Selenator commented, “Just pre-saved it! SO EXCITED!!! 👏🏼.” Also, another fan commented, “We’ve been waiting for so long 🥲.”
