The Amazon Prime series, The Summer I Turned Pretty, first made its way to our TV screens in June 2022. It quickly became a worldwide success attracting a diverse range of viewers. Since its premiere, season 2 was released in July 2023. So, it was only reasonable for season 3 to have a summer 2024 release. But, TSITP fans are going to have to wait another year for the beloved Amazon Prime series to make a return. Although rest assured, season 3 is going to be worth all the wait.
What We Know
The Summer I Turned Pretty is a series based on Jenny Han’s book trilogy, whose plot surrounds a love triangle between Isabel “Belly” Conklin (played by Lola Tung) and the Fisher brothers, Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno), with whom Belly has grown up alongside with during her childhood.
Season 1 was based on the first book, The Summer I Turned Pretty, and season 2 was based on TSITP book 2 titled It’s Not Summer Without You. Now looking ahead at season 3, it will be based on book 3 of the TSITP book series, We’ll Always Have Summer.
At Prime Video’s inaugural upfront presentation, Jennifer Salke, the head of Amazon MGM Studios, along with The Summer I Turned Pretty creator, showrunner, and author Jenny Han, and the show’s stars Lola Tung, Christopher Briney, and Gavin Casalegno announced the debut of season 3 for next summer on May 14th, 2024.

Later, Amazon MGM Studios and TSITP’s Instagram accounts revealed that the series is in current production with the caption, “We’re officially rolling on #TheSummerITurnedPretty Season 3. 11 episodes coming your way. See you in Cousins in 2025 🫶.”
How Season 3 Will Be Different
While we have to wait till 2025, there is one detail that will definitely be worth the wait. The “supersized” season 3 will have a total of 11 episodes unlike season 1 and season 2.
All episodes of The Summer I Turned Pretty are now available on Prime Video here. 2025 is the anticipated Season 3 release year. However, the official release date has yet to be announced but Trend In Mag will update the story as more details unfold.
