TikTok is a social media platform that has not only impacted our lives but the music industry as well. The app has helped singers like GAYLE and Nessa Barrett kickstart their careers and go on to dominate the music charts. Speaking of the charts, just recently, TikTok has collaborated with Billboard to launch its very own “Top 50” chart. To continue expanding its music endeavors, TikTok has announced that it will be hosting its first-ever live music event titled “TikTok In The Mix.” It is set to take place later this year on December 10th. Here’s everything you need to know about “TikTok In The Mix.”
What is the event about and who will be performing?
The live music event, “TikTok In The Mix” will be taking place on Sunday, December 10th, 2023 at Sloan Park in Mesa, Arizona. The four featured performers set to appear at the event are Niall Horan, Charlie Puth, Anitta, and Cardi B. Each of these artists has made their own contributions to the app. Niall Horan has engaged with fans using TikTok’s Duet and Stitch features. Anitta has taken her fans through a behind-the-scenes look at her performances while showing off dance routines. Charlie Puth likes to show sound production videos and tease upcoming music releases. As for Cardi B, her songs have been seen trending on the TikTok music charts and inspiring dances and/or trends.
Apart from these stars, new artists like Isabel LaRosa, Kaliii, LU KALA, and Sam Barber will be performing — as they are all a part of the TikTok Elevate emerging-artist program. There will also be other surprise guests appearing but are yet to be announced. Although this event will be music-based, there are other expected activities to take place. TikTok noted in a press release that, “In the Mix will bring to life TikTok’s famous For You feed, with a range of activities inspired by our community’s favorite trends.”
“No other platform mixes music, creativity, and community like TikTok. With In The Mix, our goal is to bring the For You feed to life for fans at the venue and on TikTok,” said Paul Hourican, TikTok’s Global Head of Music Partnerships and Programming.
How can I get tickets?
Luckily, this event will be open to all age groups. However, those under the age of 18 need to be accompanied by an adult. Pre-sale tickets will be available on the TikTok app. Fans who follow the featured performers will have the chance to receive a unique code allowing them to purchase tickets from Friday, October 27th at 10AM MT until October 30th at 11:59PM MT. Then, general ticket sales will begin on Thursday, November 2nd at 10AM MT.
What if I can’t attend the event?
For those unable to make the “TikTok In The Mix” event, people can stream the live music festival via TikTok Live — which is a feature found exclusively on the TikTok app here.
