There’s no better feeling than shopping at a store you love and getting a great discount at the same time. TJ Maxx happens to be one of those stores. In recent times, TJ Maxx, including its sister store, Marshalls has been trending a lot more on platforms such as TikTok. Content creators with various follower sizes have been showing off what they brought from TJMaxx or Marshalls. Whether it’s through a haul video or a “come shopping with me” video. Also, TJ Maxx happens to be a department store chain that sells items at discounted prices in comparison to other stores.
It houses several name brands within its store such as ZARA, Urban Outfitters, Michael Kors, Coach, and more. This month, I was able to hit up my local TJ Maxx store and browsed along several of their aisles from clothing to home decor. In this post, I will show you all what I found through pictures and my thoughts on the items I browsed. Read on to see what I found at my local TJ Maxx store this month — summer 2023 edition!
Coach Bags
I was super excited to see TJ Maxx had several Coach bags throughout their handbag aisle. There were different styles and colors of these Coach bags. Also, the price is also worth noting, as Coach can be on the expensive side. TJ Maxx had great deals on these two bags pictured above. I didn’t get to buy any of the Coach bags, but if you’re a fan of luxury brands — TJ Maxx has helpful discounts to take advantage of.
Too Faced Cosmetics
TikTok has surely influenced many of my recent purchases when it comes to makeup. I believe with a high demand for certain cosmetics brands (due to social media) like e.l.f cosmetics and Too Faced itself, TJ Maxx always has some of the brands’ top favorited items in stock. While on my shopping trip, I found the Lip Injection product (not pictured), Brow Wig Brush On Brow Gel, and the Hangover Replenishing Face Primer. I have yet to try the primer and brow gel, but I have to say it made me happy to find Too Faced products in stock!
Halloween Decor
Yes! You read that right, I found Halloween decor already on TJ Maxx’s shelves. We are almost in the month of August, which means fall is just right around the corner. It’s never too early for TJ Maxx to start stocking up on fall items. I found a ton of cute items for Halloween. There were several ghosts, dogs, candy corn, and skeleton-like style figurines. A pink pumpkin was also seen and even movie-inspired plushies (Gizmo from Gremlins + Baby Yoda from The Mandalorian). Some shelves were still empty but it was great to get a preview of fall decor items.
Crochet Fashion
In 2023, crochet is still a major fashion style trending. I found a pretty cute matching two-piece set in the crochet style. Although, I feel like these two pieces can be worn on their own separately. This crochet set makes an ideal outfit to wear to run errands or a casual day out. Another crochet-style item I found was a blue crochet dress. This dress definitely gives me a picnic in the park kind of vibe.
Sandals
With just days away from August, sandals were still in stock at TJ Maxx. There were several brands to choose from such as Cushionaire and Madden Girl. I got the Cushionaire sandals (seen on the left) and fit comfortably! These can be labeled Birkenstock “dupes” and were on clearance for $12.
Scented Candles
Nothing is better than lighting a fresh new scented candle. TJ Maxx is a go-to spot when it comes to candle shopping. Its shelves were stocked with various candles like this one, “Sprinkle Donut + Vanilla Latte.” The design for this candle was spot on and there was even a “Hot Chocolate” themed one in a white colored cup. Super happy I got my hand on this for the upcoming cold months.
Chunky Sneakers
I consider chunky sneakers to still be a fashion must-have. This style of sneakers is great to pair with any kind of fashion garment like sweatpants, denim shorts, denim jeans, and more. There were a lot of Steve Madden finds at TJ Maxx which truly didn’t disappoint! The color scheme of these sneakers is perfect for the upcoming fall season as well.
Skin Care + Cosmetics Organizer
If I didn’t have a skincare fridge or vanity area, I would have brought this item. It is perfect for storing skincare or even cosmetics. There is a second feature of this organizer that I thought was pretty cool. It has a LED mirror at the top to be able to apply your skincare products or curate your makeup look easily.
